Sr Media Planner

Location: San Francisco or Orange County, CA

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven, knowledgeable Sr Media Planner with digital media planning expertise to join our team of media professionals. The Sr Media Planner is responsible for strategizing with the account and client teams on the best ways to integrate media into their advertising and marketing programs. They will also support agency media planning, buying and analytics services across digital, social and search channels.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Media, Account and Creative teams to develop strategies and plans

  • Create and present media specific documents such as RFPs, media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions

  • Support team in media plan development stage to collect RFP responses from partners/ sites, and assist in analyzing proposals and partner negotiations

  • Assist in the management of day-to-day communication with key partners: clients vendors, and partner agencies

  • Build campaign performance reports for the client that are inclusive of information from third party servers and site direct reporting

  • Garner insights from performance reports, data and analytics

  • Manage asset distribution, budgeting, and audience targeting within Social Channels (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager)

  • Explore media alternatives and be able to determine the solution, deliver the recommendation, and stand behind it

  • Maintains media budgets or media spend summaries by keeping abreast of all invoice, billing and delivery issues; know when to escalate discrepancies to supervisors

  • Maintain and grow relationships with all media representatives and seek ways to better communicate with buying influence and become more informed on market conditions

  • Attend or bring media presentations in-house to evaluate new information/services and to maintain good rapport with sales representatives

  • Manage multiple deliverables/client accounts with the ability to prioritize and seamlessly transition among the

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years experience in a Media Assistant/Media Planner role at a digital agency

  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

  • Strong knowledge of paid social campaign management

  • Strong knowledge of industry and market trends to shape the direction of the digital experience by incorporating market, technology, and business trends

  • Experience with analysis of reporting through Web analytics programs (such as Google Analytics)

  • Working knowledge of offline and online research tools

  • Working knowledge of paid search campaign management

  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Google suite of product
