Director of Strategy and Insights

We do this by:
Discovering insights by analyzing multiple data sources. We identify the source of truth by scouring both relevant internal and external data. We focus on speed to deliver consumer insights quickly.
Designing campaigns based on the insights generated. We develop emotional insights that compel action. We incite change. We build prediction and optimization models, and test and learn structures, to optimize client marketing/advertising spend.
Delivering insights-driven growth for the short- and long-term. We develop leverageable creative ideas that provide for “quick wins” and “systemic change”. Our team of experienced experts and our best-in-class partners allow us to solve big challenges quickly. We get results, fast.
Our aim is to create an ongoing, quick twitch, “insights factory.”
Work closely with clients and colleagues to define the problem, identify solutions, and develop key insights to drive brilliant creative work
Lead the room and own strategy on multiple client accounts and for multiple campaigns across channels
Build successful relationships and identify new opportunities with existing clients and business units
Assist with Business Development pitches
Powerful written and oral communication skills
Ability to develop meaningful, and actionable strategy and/or insights presentation decks with a clear story and purpose
Collaborate with department leaders to develop strategic creative/project briefs, identifying the key insight and actionable ”aha”
Excellent presentation skills and a high comfort level presenting to clients, as well as experience collaborating closely with client stakeholders to understand their business objectives
Consumer journey mapping, audience demographics, and consumer insights
In-depth knowledge of advertising (traditional and digital, creative and media)
A high comfort level with connecting ideas, developing and refining insights, and guiding a team towards a creative solution
Ability to analyze complex research/data (macroeconomics, industry trends, consumer behavior, etc.) and provide actionable recommendations across creative, media, channel, and content strategies
Great leadership, acting as an autonomous conduit between internal and external departments
Strong collaboration skills and openness to the rest of the agency and their insights
8+ years of experience at an agency leading strategy and/or planning for major client accounts and omnichannel campaigns
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Highly experienced in driving strategic thought leadership: defining consumer insights, developing and shaping positioning territories, brand personas, activations, etc.
Ability to analyze client-provided or internally-developed media reports and translate them into actionable insights for the Creative team
Experience with a suite of online data aggregators (social listening, Netbase/net sentiment, paid data archives, and survey/testing audience generators)
Areas of experience: secondary research, primary research methods, segmentation, targeting, business strategy, creative strategy, marketing strategy, social media engagement strategy, digital content strategy
Understanding of integrated capabilities including print, digital, OOH, social, and broadcast; expertise in aligning marketing strategies with business needs
*This is an exempt position.
Salary Range: $120k-150k
