We are seeking a driven, knowledgeable media planner with search engine marketing (SEM) expertise to join our team of media professionals. The Media Planner, SEM Specialist is responsible for implementing and developing effective paid SEM advertising campaigns, as well as supporting agency media planning, buying and analytics services.
Define and execute an SEM roadmap aligning team goals with business objectives and improving keyword generation, bid optimization, landing page resolution and testing, ad text testing, campaign management, and reporting tools
Work with cross-functional and client-facing groups to outline and execute a holistic SEM vision
Stay on top of current and future search engine trends to develop and improve SEM and SEO (search engine optimization) advertising practices within the agency
Routinely conduct briefings for key representatives internally and externally
Use successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management on pay-per-click search engines to hit target-acquisition volume goals and efficiency metrics (e.g., cost per action, cost per lead)
Ongoing budget and campaign management
Provide detailed reporting and analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques to increase overall search performance efficiency
Actively lead testing and analyze keywords, copy, and landing pages to increase return on investment and drive incremental volume
Support agency media planning responsibilities, including creating and presenting media specific documents such as RFPs, media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions

4+ years of experience with paid search engine advertising
At least 2-5 years of experience managing media agency accounts with $1 million-plus marketing spending
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, strategies, and best practices
Strong knowledge of industry and market trends to shape the direction of the digital experience by incorporating market, technology, and business trends
Google Ads (AdWords) certification, Google Analytics certification
Extensive experience working with pay-for-performance search products such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon Sponsored Products, and other search engine advertising tools
Working knowledge of paid social campaigns
Experience with enterprise-level management tools such as Kenshoo, Marin, and Search Ads 360
Experience with analysis of reporting through Web analytics programs (such as Google Analytics)
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
Excellent quantitative, analytical, communication and presentation skills
